Internship Sales Support Long Haul in Amsterdam

About the team and your challenge

Our sales department is responsible for sourcing and maintaining the right partners that can complete the travel experiences of our travellers. We do so with a team of passionate sales pioneers from all over the world that tap into their own local knowledge to handpick the most enticing partners in their region. As an ambitious team, it is our challenge to always strive for commercial excellence to foster the further growth of TravelBird. Whether that is giving personal advice to our partners on their business, closing new partnerships or supporting on allotment creation. We pride ourself on our offers and partners being exciting and unique just like each day in the TravelBird office.

As a Sales Support Intern, you will help our Partner Success Managers for Asia, the Americas and Africa who are responsible for creating the best deals and take care of the underlying administrative work. You will be responsible for organizing and systemizing the negotiated deals and for checking if all of the new contracts are correct. Because of your support, we will be able to offer unique deals to our travellers.

Your tasks
  • Communicating with our partners on a daily basis;
  • Supporting Partner Success Managers with administrative tasks;
  • Organizing and structuring the daily business of the Sales department;
  • Going through holiday offers, bookings and contracts to check if everything is correct;
  • Interacting with other departments within the company;
  • Dealing with hotel allocations and overbookings.
Who you are
  • Studying a subject relevant to the internship (Business Administration, Tourism, Marketing)*;
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written);
  • Not afraid of administrative work;
  • Passionate about sales;
  • Enthusiastic, creative, flexible and very pro-active;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • You handle stress and pressure very well;
  • Love for travelling and exploring different cultures;
  • Team player, but also capable of working independently;
  • Available for a minimum period of 5 months full-time (no research);
  • Living in Amsterdam or willing to move;
  • Agree with an internship remuneration of €350 per month.

* You must be a student during the internship (enrolled in a university/higher education institution)
