What are you going to do?

As part of Arcadis's Digital transformation, we are growing Citizen Development within the company. This means training and upskilling ourselves to increase our digital capacities and ability to use Low Code and No Code tools to increase our ownership of each project. As a Citizen Development intern you will help strengthen our analytical and organizational capacity to ensure smooth growth in Citizen Development for Arcadis.

As the Citizen Development Program intern you will be responsible for:

• Managing the content of weekly presentations, while ensuring all necessary participants are involved in each meeting. You are also responsible to keep track of what is said in the presentations and use these insights to fuel the operational strategy of the team.
• Support in developing the Analytics use case repository and external-facing written pieces.
• Assist with the logistics and organizational strategy of our Digital Communities including coordinating with external facilitators, ensuring content is properly packaged, communicating with participants, developing strategies, etc.
• Develop and review content & trainings, by working directly with members of our digital communities, at both the global and regional levels. You will need to ensure consistent, clear, messaging that supports the Global Digital strategy.
• Spread awareness on our initiatives through the different communication channels available, including (virtual) presenting and hosting quizzes in front of audiences. You will also be responsible for collecting and analyzing feedback from forms and surveys and transcribe it into tangible insights.
• Represent a point-of-contact for all inquiries to the Global Data Analytics team. It is also important that others can rely on you in situations where an extra help is needed.
• Scheduling meetings, including organizing all necessary speakers and facilitators for the Digital Communities of Practices

What do we ask?

Nobody is perfect, and that is fantastic. We expect you to fail, learn and succeed in this role. That said, it would be great if you have/are: 

• Working towards a master's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Technology, Policy and Management, Creative Technology or similar relevant discipline.
• A high interest in data, analytics, and data science.
• An understanding of communications planning, including tailoring content for multiple audiences and the use of different channels to powerfully convey and amplify key messages.
• An understanding of how digital transformation is changing businesses.
• Logic problem-solving skills and natural team-player and collaborator to find the best solutions complex problems.
• An engaging and personable individual with a positive attitude who can communicate effectively with a broad range of individuals from all around the globe.
• A personal commitment to a high quality of work, willing to go the extra mile to deliver exceptional results.
• Experience with photoshop, graphic design programs and the capability to design creative presentations, make short videos and other creative outputs are a plus.
• Full proficient in the English language.
• You are proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Teams, and Power BI.

This vacancy is (also) open for graduate students who need to write their thesis. Together with the Global Director Data, Analytics & Insights, a topic will be selected. This internship is starting Feb/March 2023 for a minimum duration of 5 months.
