A drive cycle is a predefined set of engine speed-load points that are run in a specific order, to emulate certain real world driving conditions on an engine test bench. Running a variety of drive cycles, both standardized and non-standardized, is a part of the process of product development of PACCAR engines. Standardized cycles include those that are defined by legal authorities and are used for certification. Non-standardized drive cycles are those that are internally defined by DAF/PACCAR for various internal performance requirements.
The goal of this internship is two-fold. Firstly, to create a database of such drive cycles, and to easily facilitate continuous storage in the future. Secondly, to create an analysis dashboard to be able to monitor key performance indicators over the course of a development project.
