Job description

As a test engineer you got a key role in ensuring the quality and functionality of the product, you are responsible for setting up and conducting tests intended to check the quality . These software tests are performed according to certain specifications that you draw up in consultation with the client. As a software tester you are responsible for validating the quality and functionality of the software developed within the company. You supply technical support to departments within the organization but also to external customers.


As a test engineer you are part of the department "Creation and Validation" , you have a central role in the process and you will oversee the entire production process, from product development to commissioning . You report directly to the C & V manager and test coordinator .

Relevant duties for the Test Engineer include:

• Reviewing requirements, functional and technical descriptions.
• Identifying and analysing test basis to extract test cases.
• Create test scenarios of extracted test cases, used for scripting automated testing and manual testing.
• Analyse results generated from automated and manual testing.
• Validation of data conversion using in-house build test tools.
• Validation of produced Map data prior to delivery to customers.
• Validation of products from special projects.
• Root cause analysis of identified deficiencies in products.
• Tracing and validating shortcomings in products.
• Contribute to further improvement of the "creation and Validation" tool kit.

Profile:

• HBO (technical college) level work & theory,
• 1-3 year relevant work experience
• Good knowledge of Linux and/orUnix,
• SQL is a must,
• ISTQB/ISEB certification is a must
• Knowledge and experience with software validation methods,
• Experience of the software development processes,
• Affinity with the automotive industry is a plus,
• Customer friendly and presentable,
• Good command of written and spoken English.
