Internship International Risk Analyst in Den Haag

Do you want to support Aegon in designing, evaluating and transforming SIRA processes, controls and infrastructure to be more efficient and smarter by using data and technology? In that case we have an interesting opportunity. 

Having a strong and effective SIRA (Systematic Integrity Risk Analysis) is an explicit focus area of Aegon Management Board and the Dutch regulator ‘De Nederlandsche Bank’ (DNB). As the largest insurer in the Netherlands, but also providing asset management and banking services, Aegon uses SIRA to get a grip of all the integrity risks. We embrace a global SIRA approach that enables us to not only manage integrity risks, but also provides strategic insight that leads to a sustainable competitive advantage.  

As an intern, you will be actively involved in designing, executing our SIRA and develop your project management back office skills. You will be based at Aegon's headquarters in the Hague, the Netherlands but as Aegon is a global player, travelling to our (European) business units is certainly an option. 

About the department

The Regulatory Compliance team within Aegon is globally responsible for anti-money laundering and terrorist finance, fraud and sanctions oversight and a broad range of compliance topics such as privacy, solvency II and whistleblowers fall under our scope. Our team consists of about 15 diverse men and women from different international backgrounds. 

Profile - Who are you?

• Bachelor degree, 3rd year (HBO/ WO);
• You can identify with characteristics such as analytical, organized, independent, critical and result-oriented;
• You can complete projects under time pressure and you have the ambition to develop yourself;
• You have data analytical skills exceeding the excel basics and preferably are able working with power Bi or python or sql;
• You have excellent proficiency in English; both verbally and in writing;
• You operate well in a team, have a hands-on mentality and you have a professional attitude.

We are looking for availability starting from now for at least 4 months. You will be working 4-5 days a week during this internship.

It is required to be enrolled at a university (HBO/ WO) to take part in this internship. This is not a graduation internship. Generally we assume you have a Dutch bank account and if you are a non EU/EER student, you will need a valid residence permit stating that you may work ('arbeid vrij toegestaan'). Applications that do not fulfill this criteria cannot be taken into consideration.
