What you’ll love about being our General Ledger Accountant at A-Gas in Eygelshoven

You’ll be joining in a brand-spanking new role. Nobody’s resigned. Nobody’s left because they’re bored, underdeveloped or unfocused. Meaning your core strengths in transactional financial accounting will be put to full use. The rest of the role will be built around you. Leaving plenty of room for development.

 You’ll be joining a team based on a site where a multi-million-euro CAPEX investment is being made. You’re going to get exposure to finance issues in a rapid growth, highly entrepreneurial environment.

 You’ll work with our Finance Manager to develop a local approach to financial reporting and analysis, as we scale up the size of the site.

You’ll get the opportunity to help implement Great Plains accounting software. Some of this is partly in place. We want you to finish it. More importantly we’re going to encourage you to make some mistakes. We need you to learn, in preparation for a larger technology project at a later date.

You’ll work with our SAP Finance Process Lead in the UK to implement SAP locally in the Netherlands. This is a global initiative. You’re going to play a key local role.

You’ll develop into a fully rounded finance professional with strong process development and projects experience. If you’re as ambitious as we think you are, then you’ll be ready to move into a Finance Manager position in the long-term.

Who you are

Since completing your Bachelor’s degree a couple of years ago, you’ve been putting theory into practice within a finance team.

You’ve built a solid couple of years transactional finance experience. You’re confident processing invoices and journal accounting. Junior members of the team often turn to you with questions.

You’ve had some experience of preparing the month-end closing process. Reporting on monthly and quarterly figures isn’t new to you. You often prepare the commentary to explain any variances.

 You might have already had some experience of working in SAP or a similar ERP such as Oracle, Sage or Microsoft Dynamics.

You know you’ve more to offer.

Requirements

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

• completed your Bachelor’s degree;
• built a solid couple of years transactional finance experience;
• experience of confidently processing invoices and journal accounting;
• some experience of preparing the month-end closing process.
• preferably some experience with SAP or a similar ERP such as Oracle, Sage or Microsoft Dynamics. But this isn't essential.
