Your job

Operations Client Services Investigation and Mail (CS I&M) is a part of Operations within the Innovation & Technology Business Line at ABN AMRO. CS I&M serves business clients by answering and processing requests and queries concerning foreign payments and day-to-day banking transaction. Client Services is centralised in Amsterdam, but works closely together with offshore partners. Currently, there is a focus on operating in a lean and agile way of working as a mean to improve both the quality and speed of service to customers. Furthermore the department aims to the efficiency regarding communication with offshore partners.

The internship assignment is versatile and will offer different challenging assignments and projects to work on. The intern is expected to become a part of the team and gain insights into current way of working and communication, in order to identify and implement improvements. Through analysing and making use of lean, the intern is expected to bring new perspectives and ideas to increase efficiency and customer service.

Your activities might include;

  • Analysing current way of working/communicating
  • Performing skill gap analysis
  • Suggesting new and improved processes (e.g. reduction of mailing back and forth with offshore partners)

 

The most important thing is that you are pro-active, eager to meet new people, interested in investigating and analysing way of working in order to provide suggestions for improvement and that you are willing to challenge status-quo.

Your profile
  • You are a MSc/BSc student/graduate (HBO/WO).
  • Your study covers organisational improvement, people skills, business management etc.
  • You have affinity with Lean Management and Excel.
  • You can start February 2020.
  • You are available for 4 months minimum and up to 6 months.
  • Analytical mind: your analytical skills are well developed in order to deconstruct problems and rethink possible solutions.
  • Networker: meeting and connecting with new people is something you are passionate about.
  • Organisational mind:  you are able to recognize different organisational issues within the blink of an eye.
  • Proactive: you have a “hands-on” mentality.
  • Problem solver: your analytical skills and creativity are well developed in order to come up with realistic solutions.
